The Bosnian Muslim family bought the home in August of this year after it had been vacant for three years. The day after the home was purchased by the family, it was set on fire.

“We are calling on law enforcement authorities and fire officials to investigate this arson as a possible hate crime,” said CAIR-Missouri’s Executive Director Faizan Syed.

The arson occurred in the same neighborhood in which an Arab-American Muslim family was allegedly the repeated victims of threats, intimidation and violence by a neighbor.
